The only news today in an article covering Saturday's send down by the Carolina Hurricanes...
Stanley Cup champ Hurricanes send three players to Everblades
Andy Kent being a day late and three players short as always. It does mention the Panthers however.
I have updated the roster for the Everblades, if anyone is interested.
The Everblades open camp Sunday, october 8th.
The Amerks play their final exhibition game today at noon against the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum, so I expect some news later in the afternoon on the game.
The ECHL voided the agreement with DVA Sports to put a team into the stalled Lakewood Ranch arena project.
Lakewood Ranch franchise put on ice
If they ever get the funding worked out, the arena could still host football, basketball, etc, and their had been some interest from "other" teams, from which I infer the SPHL might be looking at it.
However, speculation is pointless until the arena gets built.
The project is of interest to Everblades fans as it would give them a close rival and help attract some of the Northern/Western teams down for road swings, instead of the having the Blades do all the traveling.
Meanwhile, I've been updating my Panthers' site so if you have a blog or a Panther related resource you'd like listed, please drop me an e-mail and I'll be happy to add it.
