Rookie forwards Patrick Kaleta and Marek Zagrapan and second-year center Stefan Meyer made their season debuts. To make room, Kamil Kreps, Anthony Stewart and Dylan Hunter sat out. Cunneyworth said they did nothing wrong to come out, he just wanted others to play. It should be noted that Kreps and Stewart — players whose games are based largely on offensive production — didn't have a point in three games.
Right winger Greg Jacina was returned by the Florida Panthers after two-game, four-day recall but didn't get to Binghamton in time.
From the Panthers org, Jan Sprukts scored and Rob Globke and Alexi Semenov added assists.

The games don't count in the standings and you won't find any mention of them in the ECHL record book, but Florida Everblades forward Jon Lehun doesn't care. The Blades, who have never had a losing season, are used to winning and the team demands it every time they step on the ice — even in the preseason.
The Texas Wildcatters beat the Blades 2-1 in the teams' final preseason game Saturday, completing a weekend sweep of their ECHL South rival in front of an announced crowd of 4,596 at Germain Arena. Texas will stay in town and play Florida on Friday in the 2006-07 ECHL regular-season opener for both teams.
"Yeah, it is just the preseason but you always want to win. Especially here. Especially at home," Lehun said. "We always want to win. It doesn't matter if it's the preseason to me. It's a big deal and I know it's a big deal to the coaching staff. But the good thing is it is preseason. We'll be better next week."
For a second consecutive night at Germain, Saturday's game featured a hailstorm of penalties. Thirty-six total infractions, the same as Friday, were whistled.
The team's five non-Roster invitees were released after the game.
Blades fall to Wildcatters in exhibition, 2-1
Two different lineups, same storyline.
For the second straight game, penalties were the story during Saturday night's preseason hockey game between the ECHL's Florida Everblades and Texas Wildcatters at Germain Arena. And for the second straight time, Texas erased a one-goal deficit to pull out a road victory, 2-1.
Matt Johnson's power-play goal 9:03 into the third period was the game-winner and Kevin Baker picked up the second of his two assists on the play. Marco Rosa, who tied the game on a power play in the second period, got the second assist.
These same two teams open up the 2006-07 regular season this Friday night at Germain Arena in the first of back-to-back games, with the face-off scheduled for 7:30.
