Big Save

Allowing 106 shots in two games might not seem like a recipe for success, but Rochester made it work last week, as Craig Anderson made 50 stops in a 3-1 win over Peoria on Friday night and rookie Adam Dennis followed up with 54 saves in a 3-1 win at Toronto on Saturday afternoon. Before it was done twice in less than 24 hours over the weekend, no Amerks goaltender had made at least 50 saves in a game since Nov. 12, 1991 (David Littman).

This press release plays off Buffalo's strong start, although a number of Panther Prospects are listed in it.

Rochester takes on the Grand Rapid Griffins on the road tonight and plays a home-and-home series against Syracuse on Friday and Sunday.

There is no more wondering whether or not Chris Lee can hold his own in the American Hockey League.

Three games with the Albany River Rats last week answered the 26-year-old Florida Everblades defenseman's burning question. Lee notched an assist in his first game Oct. 18 against Peoria that helped spark a 3-2 come-from-behind shootout win for Albany.

On Tuesday morning, Lee wore a confident smile at Germain Arena following his first practice with Southwest Florida's ECHL team in eight days and was still reveling in the experience.

Defenseman Chris Lee was returned to the Florida Everblades’ roster Tuesday by the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League and got goalie Kevin Nastiuk from the Everblades in exchange.
