SUNRISE, FLA. Florida Panthers General Manager Rick Dudley announced today that the Panthers have acquired RW Ty Jones from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations.
Jones, 25, appeared in 37 games with the Norfolk Admirals this season, recording four goals and five assists with 93 penalty minutes. For his career, he has played in eight NHL contests all with the Chicago Blackhawks, registering no points and 12 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by the Blackhawks with their first choice (16th overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
